Sydney!

I ventured into the city today! After I caught up with a lot of you via Skype, email, blog and Facebook, I grabbed the ferry to Circular Quay. From there I took the CityRail to Central Station, and then from Central Station grabbed a bus to my new campus: University of Sydney! It was easy to do, so easy! Everything is in English and it's fast and good. Unlike trying to figure out Guangzhou's public transportation system, which is my most recent foray into foreign city's public transport.

The ferry was so awesome. We came around the bend from Manly and all of a sudden you could see the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House come out of nowhere! It was rather breathtaking to tell you the truth. One sees these landmarks often in relation to Sydney (and I saw them even more from my guidebooks and research) so to see them in real life was very awesome. It is after 9pm now, and I've been up pretty much since 5am and I'm feeling tired. So I will post more soon!

I'm SO HAPPY you're doing so well Ween McBean - I double checked and I definitely have a webcam and it works, so I just need a mic and we'll be good to go with Skype. Love you Sissy!
